The Venue
A cielo aperto is a public art project, curated by the artistic duo Bianco-Valente and Pasquale Campanella, and conceived by Associazione Culturale Vincenzo De Luca with the aim of realizing an open air museum for the promotion of the territory through contemporary art. Renowned artists, after a residency period, realize participatory based permanent works in response to the landscape and the urban space. The production of temporary and permanent works is also connected to a series of workshop activities, which include the citizens in the creative process, invite them to share their knowledge of the territory and of its heritage. Installation, performance and video interpret the territory and its characteristics in a virtuous exchange between traditions, genius loci and contemporary artistic expression.
