The Venue
Dolomiti Contemporanee, located between the Belluno Prealps and the Friulian Dolomites, was founded in 2011, shortly after the renowned mountain ranges became a UNESCO World Heritage site. Dolomiti Contemporanee is a project aimed at regenerating heritage sites by reactivating and enhancing uninhabited or underused places, such as abandoned factories and decommissioned industrial archaeology complexes, through contemporary art and culture. The Vajont area and the former Eni Village in Corte di Cadore are two examples of transformative production that go beyond the concept of classic mountain tourism, creating a workshop that initiates experimental and impactful projects in the region.
