The Venue
Giardino project is based in Salento, on the ground floor of a building in a social housing complex built in the 1980s. The space is divided into a residential garden, an “urban enclosure” where artists make site-specific interventions, including short summer residencies, and where cultural activities, including events and meetings, take place. The garden space becomes a microcosm, a hortus conclusus, in which elements of nature and contemporary creativity are combined.
