The Venue
Mulino in ferro was donated by the master of Arte Povera Jannis Kounellis to the Municipality of Naples in 1998. The installation is located in a central and very busy area of the city, in a narrow pedestrian area between tall buildings. The monumental work is composed of an iron pylon and of a mill’s revolving wheel. Since 1991, in the frame of Gli Annali dell’arte, a project of commissions of contemporary art works for public spaces in the city, curated by Achille Bonito Oliva, the greek artist realized several temporary and permanent works in Naples.
