The Venue
Cuneo con frecce stems of two complementary facts: the SMAT Group needed to renew the company headquarters and the Municipality of Turin wanted to redevelop the area adjacent to the historic center. The work was commissioned in 2006 as part of the reorganization of a green area in front of the building. It is a massive triangular-shaped bronze wedge, propped up by a myriad of small arrows and installed at the center of a round water basin. The shape evokes that of a drill, symbolizing strength and energy, evoked in the moment of the excavation to reach the spring, and in the jet of water that erupts outside. The basin is called Fonte dinamica due to the particular hydraulic game that moves the water. Water reflections on the bronze give rhythm and dynamism to the work.
