The Venue
MLAC – Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea is housed in the Palazzo del Rettorato, in the heart of the Città Universitaria of the Sapienza University of Rome.
The MLAC was created in 1987, as a place of confrontation between artists and students, and as a space open to various forms of visual arts, in particular photography and graphics. Over the years, the museum has created a small collection of works of art (not always on display) mainly acquired through the exhibitions hosted. Its focus is on the promotion of young artists and curators through exhibitions and laboratories.
This Museum also hosts days of study and conventions on the most common themes of contemporary language, and on the most critical issues of modern culture.
