The Venue

Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea was established in 1883, in Rome. It moved to its current building in 1913.
Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea is the most important Italian museum of modern and contemporary art, and owns one of the largest and most important public art collections in the nation. The current set-up aims to create a dialogue between nineteenth and early twentieth century works and contemporary works, by comparing their thematic or conceptual similarities, thereby undermining the chronological system usually used in museums.
Furthermore, this Museum offers a comprehensive programme of exhibitions and events dedicated to every form of contemporary creativity.
