The Venue
MUSEION – Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea di Bolzano, founded in 1985, has become a Foundation in 2006.
The MUSEION is fully committed to promote and enhance contemporary art, South Tyrol art in particular, and its aim is to reach different kinds of audiences with a collection of more than 4,000 works.
Since May 2018, the MUSEION has moved to the new building in Piazza Siena, which contains spaces particularly flexible due to the mobility of the walls: an architecture, which is functional to the issues of contemporary art and expresses the whole spirit with which the MUSEION means to front said issues.
