The Venue

Fondazione Baruchello was founded in 1998 after the artist Gianfranco Baruchello donated his collection of about five hundred works, including paintings, sculptures, objects and videos as wells as a library containing about forty thousand volumes. He also donated cinematographic equipment and the very same building of the foundation, that is used for residencies, artist’s studies and laboratories.
The activities organized by Fondazione Baruchello, and divided between its headquarters in Santa Cornelia and Vascello, are based on the philosophy of this artist, whose opinion is that contemporary art is a language that allows men to think and imagine new forms of coexistence in the world.
