The Venue
In 2002, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo opened a new exhibition venue in Turin, in the former industrial area of Fergat.
The new venue hosts the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo collection, which represents the complexity of artistic research over the last decades. Furthermore, its aim is to realize exhibitions on contemporary visual arts, in particular on painting, sculpture and photography, organizing in-depth meetings with experts as well.
In 2006, the Fondazione Sandretto established the Premio StellaRe, awarded to women who have somehow marked contemporary society with their job. This Foundation has also begun collaborating with institutions in Turin area and other important national and international entities, to further disseminate and promote contemporary culture.
