The Venue
Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Villa Croce is located inside a neoclassic Villa overlooking the sea, which was donated to the City of Genoa by the Croce family in 1951.
This Exhibition venue, opened in 1985, has a rich programme of exhibitions and activities aiming to provide a precise picture of the contemporary art scene, through various disciplines, supporting young emerging artists as well.
The Villa Croce has more than one floor: the ground floor serves not only as a welcoming area, but also as a place where to ask about library and archive services; the first floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions. On that same floor, there is the collection owned by Maria Cernuschi Ghiringhelli, currently not accessible to the public.
