The Venue
Studio Corte 17 was established in 2005 in an early twentieth-century industrial building, the former Bini woolen mill, as a space in which to investigate experimental artistic practices. As a meeting place for artists, curators, photographers and architects, it aims to stimulate new forms of sharing as far as contemporary art and industrial archaeology are concerned.
Since 2015, Studio Corte 17 has been promoting TAI – Tuscan Art Industry, a laboratory dedicated to contemporary artistic forms, which involves artists and curators discussing about restoring projects and about a cultural revival for disused and abandoned spaces throughout the territory.
