The Venue
The Accademia Nazionale di San Luca was founded during the Renaissance thanks to the contribution of the Università delle Arti e della Pittura, and since 1934 has been housed in the Palazzo Carpegna in Rome.
The Accademia Nazionale di San Luca, apart from many historical document collections, owns other collections of architecture designs as well, drawings in particular, dating back to the 20th century; it also promotes young artists and scholars by awarding them prizes and scholarships. The Academy is an important Italian center, where contemporary art is promoted and enhanced, especially by means of exhibitions of national and international artists.
