The Venue
Castello di Rivara is a monumental complex consisting of two buildings dating back to the 12th century and restored by Alfredo D’Andrade during the second half of the 19th century. In 1860, the castle was the old seat of the School of Rivara, the main center where Piedmontese landscaping artists of the late 1800s used to meet.
Since 1985, Castello di Rivara has been providing Italian and international artists with numerous exhibition areas, ateliers and residential rooms.
Castello di Rivara became a full-time Museum in 2008, when the space dedicated to the permanent collection Progetto Museo d’Arte Italiana 1985-2008 was inaugurated.
