The Venue
Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto, opened in 1998, is located in the former Trombetta Wool Mill, part of an industrial archeology complex in Biella.
This Foundation is a successful attempt to implement the Art Project Manifesto with which Michelangelo Pistoletto aimed to retrace the figure of the contemporary artist, as an individual interacting with all aspects of our social fabric and boosting a potential change in society.
Cittadellarte – Fondazione Pistoletto is divided into several departments, the so-called Uffizi, each dedicated to a specific activity: art, education, ecology, economy, politics, spirituality, production, work, communications, architecture, fashion and nourishment.
